English sparrows

The last time we went to Cafe du Monde in Metairie, we found ourselves surrounded by green anoles. Our most recent visit, though, was on an overcast, slightly chilly day, and the little lizards were scarcely in evidence. (Not to fret; a collection of anole pictures is forthcoming.) Instead, Jessica took the opportunity to get some shots of a ubiquitous and consequently often-overlooked, sometimes reviled, species: English sparrows. They look perfectly lovely here, I think.
