The Chincoteague herd

No visit to Assateague is complete without a visit to the lighthouse and a chance to see the wild (Spanish) horses. I took photographs of Assateague Light, but didn't best the ones from a previous visit, so I'll just link those here, and I'm sure at least one of Jessa's pictures will appear in an upcoming post.

Horses, however, present new opportunities every time. So here is some more of Jessica's work, and to see the back catalogue you can always click the "horses" tag below.


Oh, by the way—this is pony-related—it appears that the last parcel of the Beebe Ranch on Chincoteague has been saved from development. (All of Assateague is already state and federal land; it's good to be a landowner.) You can read about the effort here, and it's still not too late to contribute (I already have).
